Cookie Policy

Last reviewed February 2026 — version 1.0. This document forms part of the legal framework governing your use of the PEL1 crypto compliance platform.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember information about your session or preferences. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixel tags and software development kits (SDKs). This policy explains how PEL1 uses these technologies.

Strictly necessary cookies

PEL1 sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies and session-storage entries to operate the platform. These include a session token used to keep you signed in (`session_token` cookie or sessionStorage `aml_token`), a CSRF token for form submissions, and a security flag preventing concurrent admin sessions. These items are required and cannot be disabled while you use the platform.

Performance and analytics

PEL1 currently does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We use anonymised, aggregated platform analytics (page load times, error rates) to maintain reliability. If we introduce additional analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required by UK GDPR and PECR, we will ask for your consent before activating non-essential cookies.

Third-party services

Sub-processors that may set cookies on their own pages (not on PEL1) include Onfido (KYC verification iframe), Chainalysis (wallet screening backend — no client-side cookies), Resend (transactional email — no cookies) and Emergent Object Storage. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply when you interact with their services.

Managing your cookies

You can clear cookies and local/session storage from your browser settings at any time. Most browsers also allow you to block cookies entirely or per-site. Doing so will sign you out of PEL1 and may prevent the platform from functioning correctly. Mobile users can adjust tracking permissions through their device's privacy settings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

PEL1 honours Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable. Because we do not run advertising or behavioural tracking, GPC has limited impact on your experience.
